HEALTHY PLANET KITCHEN OPENS KITCHEN AT NEW AJAX STORE

COFFEE, TEA, SMOOTHIES, WRAPS, SOUPS, SALADS, MORE AT NEW LOCATION

A new, improved Healthy Planet has opened up in Ajax.

Smoothies, wraps, soups, salads, coffees, lattes, teas and more — plus some vegan and gluten-free options — are all on the new chefinspired menu at the new store at 140 Kingston Rd. E.

"We added a Healthy Kitchen, we added produce, we added supplements," said Healthy Planet Canada general manager Muhammad Mohamedy.

The new larger location is a short distance away from the former spot.

All the offerings are artfully prepared and assembled from scratch daily.

"What we're trying to do is offer more grab-and-go type meals," said Mohamedy.

Healthy Planet started as a small kiosk on

Danforth Avenue in Toronto in 1995 and quickly became one of Canada's fastest growing, Canadian-owned health and wellness grocery chains.

"We're a community store," said Mohamedy. "We've always been a community store. We have tremendous customer service and also we focus on a lot of quality products."

The store also offers high-quality vitamins, supplements and remedies, and aims to provide high-quality products at the lowest possible prices.

The company says it is committed to partnering with socially responsible manufacturers and distributors.

By the end of this year, there will be 35 stores in Canada, Mohamedy said.
