Whitby Priorities: Waterfront & Two Downtowns Destinations to Experience

We have a deep water harbour on Lake Ontario with public transit and green spaces. The waterfront presents a unique tourism opportunity. Do we want to be bold? Should this include dining, shops and entertainment? Our community wants to have conversations about what that vision will be. I’m ready, too.

Recently, Roebuck St. in Brooklin was closed for the summer to provide a pedestrian gathering space. Bringing new life to spaces like this supports our shops and creates great

experiences. I will also continue to promote new ways

to enhance walkable downtown destinations.
