YOUTH PRIDE DURHAM IS BACK IN PERSON FOR 2022

Youth Pride Durham is back in person for 2022.

The free event runs on June 4 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Region of Durham Headquarters, 605 Rossland Rd. E. in Whitby.

Things kick off with an "opening show extravaganza" featuring drag queens Baby Bel Bel, Wilma

Checklear and Devine Darling, followed by musical guests, face painting, cotton candy, popcorn and a dance party with DJ Sumation.

Eventgoers have the chance to win a one-month Durham Region Transit pass, laptop or acoustic guitar and amp.

Youth Pride Durham is an inclusive afternoon for children, youth and families in the 2SLGBTQIA community as well as their allies.

The event is hosted by Durham Children's Aid Society, Durham Children's Aid Foundation, the Regional Municipality of Durham, Durham Regional Police Service and the Durham District School Board, in association with Pride Durham and PFLAG Durham Region.
