MEET ANDREW AITKEN, WATERLOO'S PC CANDIDATE

CANDIDATE NAME: Andrew Aitken

RIDING: Waterloo

PARTY: Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario

AGE: 34

OCCUPATION: Supply chain planning manager

CURRENT RESIDENCE: Kitchener

PAST POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: "This is my first time running for public office. As a father of two young children, I entered the race to fight for critical issues so my children have a bright future to look forward to. Waterloo needs a fresh, new voice advocating for them, someone who will say 'Yes' to bringing important funding to the community."

HOW WOULD YOU GRADE THE PROVINCE'S COVID-19 RESPONSE AND WHY?: "A. Everyone I talk to says how impressed they were at how Doug Ford handled the pandemic compared to other provinces. He gets an A in my books. His government rebuilt domestic manufacturing of personal protective equipment and made vaccines available when they were available, saving countless lives. Now he has a plan to stay open and is rebuilding the economy. Few could argue how well Ontario fared during this first-of-its-kind pandemic."

IF ELECTED, I PLEDGE ..: "to address the rising price of housing. Young families can't afford to buy their first home and those renting are being forced to pay astronomical rent prices. We need to bring the cost of housing down! That's why Waterloo needs to have a MPP with a seat at the table to bring this important issue to Premier Ford when he forms government again."
