AT 3 A.M., THE HALDIMAND DETACHMENT OF THE OPP RESPONDED TO A CALL FOR SERVICE ON HALDIMAND ROAD 20

A 43-year-old Hagersville resident is facing mischief and forcible confinement charges following an incident on June 12.

At 3 a.m., the Haldimand detachment of the OPP responded to a call for service on Haldimand Road 20.

Const. Mary Gagliardi with the OPP wrote in a news release that as a result of information received that there was a person allegedly barricaded in a residence, the tactics and rescue unit, negotiators, emergency response team, K-9 and uniform police attended the scene.

As a result of the investigation, the 43-year-old was arrested and held for bail court on June 13. None of the charges have been tried in court.
