5 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE PREMIERE IN-PERSON SCREENING OF 'CANFIELD ROOTS'

• The premiere in-person screening of the director's cut of the documentary 'Canfield Roots' will be taking place on June 23 at 7 p.m. at the Canfield Community Centre, 50 Talbot Rd.

• This event will be doubling as a fundraiser for the Canfield Community Centre, which was featured in the documentary.

• Director Graeme Bachiu, and Street family descendants Aileen Duncan and Spencer Martin will be available for a Q&A session following the screening.

• Coun. Bernie Corbett will serve as guest auctioneer for the live auction, with items including a limitededition framed 'Canfield Roots' poster, a signed book by Canfield author Brad Smith, gift baskets, specialty chocolate and more.

• Admission to the screening is $10 per person. Popcorn, drinks, and 'Canfield Roots' DVDs will be available to purchase. To buy tickets, send a private message on the Canfield Community Centre Facebook page, call or text 905772-5790, or buy tickets at the door.
