Councillor Ward 10

Elected school board trustee for Ward 10 (2014-2018); vice chair Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (2016-2017).

By adding more supports for non-profit housing providers such as Indwell and Kiwanis homes, such as restoring development charge exemptions. The city should also be purchasing more surplus school properties before they are sold to private developers. Partnering with non-profit providers to develop these sites with mixed-income and geared to income units.

• Rebuilding infrastructure, including roads, parks, sidewalks and transit. Ward 10 is the fastestgrowing part of Hamilton, and is paying more than its fair share of tax, while receiving little investment back.

• Expanding transit to Winona Crossing (Costco plaza).

• Stop overbuilding high-density developments in low-density, mature neighbourhoods, where infrastructure doesn't exist to support them.

In 2018, 65 per cent of voters in Ward 10 indicated they do not want the incumbent to be their councillor. I am running because it is time the people of Ward 10 receive effective, forthright and respectful representation. bodies such as Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness, which specialize in eradicating homelessness, to ensure we get back on track.

I will continue to support housing initiatives, advocate for further financial assistance from other levels of government, and streamline building and renovation permits to bring more units on line as soon as possible. Also, working with developers
