I have served on city council for the past 12 years with a focus on sustainable city building, bringing more jobs, affordable homes and culture to our city. I have served on and chaired several committees, including CityHousing Hamilton, Planning and Economic Development, Waterfront and many more. leadership during the pandemic. When our healthcare system faced extreme pressure, Doug Ford was nowhere to be found. With a slow response time to emerging waves and a complete lack of leadership, the people of our province - our small business community, our seniors and our children - suffered. We needed a leader who was willing to follow the advice of public health, not put corporate interests ahead of our safety.

D+. Small business grant failures, support for seniors and those on fixed income was lacking and proper mental health and support for all workers who found themselves on the front line was pathetic. It was all too little too late.

While the opposition didn't offer many useful solutions, Doug Ford's mixed messaging and failure to actually improve our health system led to worse outcomes for COVID patients and all people waiting for decent and timely healthcare.
