BOWMAN, Elvin

Elvin Bowman entered into rest peacefully on June 16th, 2022. Elvin was born in Stayner, ON on November 13, 1941 and was in his 81st year. Predeceased by his parents, Wylie and Mayme (nee Lamont), sister Mary Sampson, brothers Arnie and Veral. He leaves behinds his muchdevoted wife Judy and will be forever loved by his children and grandchildren: Stephanie DeRapp, (children Jordan, Dustin, Carlyn), Darlene Willie, (spouse Mike, children Stone, Paige), Dara Haggarty, (spouse Serge, children Madison, Cody), Travis Bowman, (children Amanda, Alexa). He will also be sadly missed and loved by his sister Wylene Crossley (late Ken) and brothers Eldred (Lynn) and Daryl (Peggie), brother-inlaw Don (late Mary) and his sisters-in-law Patsy (late Veral), Connie (late Arnie) and all their families. Elvin, known to most as "Al" will be greatly remembered by the many friends that he made both in his lifetime and while enjoying his passion for horses during his successful career within the Standardbred Racing circuit that spanned over several decades. Celebration of his life will be held at the Stayner Union Cemetery, June 28th at 3:00 p.m.

In my loving arms, our gentle giant has "sailed into the mystic". There are no words that can adequately express this family's deep gratitude for the extraordinary love, care and compassion provided by our Balmoral neighbours and all the amazing people at Campbell House Hospice. I'm sure it comes as no surprise that I penned this farewell: "And I say to myself, what a wonderful world". I have lived a blessed life. Parents who were salt of the earth, two precious children, Mark, and Talia, who I loved with all my heart, and four beautiful grandchildren, Mac, Everly, Adalyn and Holden, who brought me so much joy. My siblings who always loved and supported me, especially Barry (Donna) and Don (Judy)
