SOAKED! PLENTY OF FREE SPLASH PADS TO ENJOY THIS SUMMER

Get soaked under the sun this summer at one of the many free splash pads in Simcoe County. Pack your swimsuits, towels, sunscreen and a picnic, and you'll enjoy hours of fun.

BARRIE

Lampman Lane Park — 59 Lampman Ln. Along with the splash pad, you'll find playgrounds, a skateboard park, tennis courts, a climbing rock and sandbox, a shaded seating area, a multipurpose court and washrooms.

Heritage Park — 6 Simcoe St. at the waterfront. Feel free to get soaked among the spraying water sculptures and fountains. There is a public washroom.

COLLINGWOOD

There are no splash pads in Collingwood, but there are plans to put one in Harbourview Park.

ESSA

Angus Community Park — 6 Huron St., Angus. Along with the splash pad, you'll find a playground, picnic tables, baseball courts and washrooms.

Greenwood-McCann Park— 152 Greenwood Dr., Angus. There's a splash pad and portable washrooms.

Thornton Community Park — 246 Barrie St., Thornton. There's a splash pad and portable washrooms.

INNISFIL

Cookstown Community Park — 20 Church St. Next to the library, you'll also find a playground, seating areas and washrooms.

NEW TECUMSETH

Treetops Park — 29 Willoughby Way N., Alliston. This park features a tree-themed adventure playground, slides and swings, a splash pad, basketball and beach volleyball courts, an amphitheatre, a large gazebo and washrooms.

Riverdale Park — 237 Fletcher Cres., Alliston. You'll find the Rotary Splash Pad

Sara Carson/Metroland and washrooms.

Beeton Community Memorial Centre — 22 Second St. behind the arena. Washrooms are located in Beeton Community Park adjacent to the splash pad.

Tottenham Community Centre — 139 Queen St. N. Washrooms are available inside the community centre.ORILLIAClayt French Park — 114 Atlantis Dr. This park has a splash pad, playground, basketball court, picnic shelter, leash-free dog zone and washrooms.

Tudhope Park — 450 Atherley Rd. This beautiful waterfront park has a splash pad, playground, swimming, seating, playground-styled exercise equipment, a stunning walking trail, food trucks, baseball diamonds and washrooms.

McKinnell Square Park — 135 Dunedin St. You'll also find a playground, baseball diamond and washrooms.

Victoria Park — 75 Coldwater Rd. W. You'll also find a playground and portable washroom.

Hillcrest Park — 255 Matchedash St. N. There is a playground, lots of open grass space, a gazebo and a portable washroom.

Walter Henry Park - 3050 Orion Boulevard This 8.3-acre park features a preserved woodlot, an adventure playground, pickleball courts, and more.

PENETANGUISHENE

Rotary Champlain-Wendat Park — Corner of Water Street and Scott Street. Along with the Penetanguishene Splash Pad, the park has a covered pavilion, accessible playground, basketball court, skateboard park, beach volleyball, swimming, disc golf, dog park, picnic tables and washrooms.
