REGISTRATION STARTS JUNE 7 FOR SUMMER REC PROGRAMS

The City of Toronto's summer recreation program listings are now available to view online to help residents prepare for registration in June.

Registration for the city's summer recreation programs at all locations across the city starts on Tuesday, June 7, at 7 a.m.

The programs will then begin the week of Monday, July 4.

This summer, more than 6,500 registered courses with approximately 114,500 spaces will be offered, including arts, fitness and wellness, sports and swimming.

Program and registration information is available at www.toronto.ca/explore-enjoy/recreation/.

After-school recreation care and after school programs for the 2022/23 school year are also available to view online.

Registration starts at 8 a.m. on Monday, June 6. More information is available on the City's AfterSchool Recreation Care webpage at www.toronto.ca/explore-enjoy/recreation/ camps-after-school-care/after-school-recreation-care/.

As well, spaces are still available for CampTO, CampTO Plus (specialty camps), Adapted CampTO and Virtual Adapted CampTO. Camps are set to run from July 4 to Friday, Sept. 2. More information is available on the CampTO webpage at www.toronto.ca/explore-enjoy/recreation/campto/.

A city news release says the "quickest and easiest way to register is online."

Phone registration will also be available for summer recreation programs at 416-396-7378, beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7. Call centre hours will be extended on Monday, June 6 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. to help customers in advance of registration.

For in-person registration support, five community centre locations will be open on June 7, from 7 a.m. to noon:

• Centennial Recreation Centre, 1967 Ellesmere Rd. in Scarborough;

• Dennis R. Timbrell Resource Centre, 29 St. Dennis Dr. in North York;

• Driftwood Community Recreation Centre, 4401 Jane St. in North York;

• Masaryk-Cowan Community Recreation Centre, 220 Cowan Ave. in Parkdale-High Park;

• Wellesley Community Centre, 495 Sherbourne St., downtown.
