Riverview Rescues, a fosterbased rescue in Renfrew County, thanks the community for its ongoing support to help find homes for 38 dogs.

On March 7, Riverview Rescues assisted the Killaloe OPP with taking all the dogs from a residence in Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Township.

"Over the course of the week, 38 dogs were surrendered into our care," Riverview Rescues said in a Facebook post. "We would like to thank the OPP for their amazing work and their quick actions to save these dogs.

Charges have been laid and we can now rest knowing all dogs are safe and cared for."

The post adds the rescue has support from the community and other local rescues, with some residents dropping off crates and donating money.

"Siberian Malamute Alaskan Rescue Team (SMART) sprang into action and took in 18 dogs for us," the post said. "It Takes a Village Dog Rescue has taken one and is looking to foster for more. Pawsite Steps Dog Rescue and Training Services has taken in two and helped us on site one day."

The rescue says all the dogs need to be vetted, with some needing immediate medical care.

"The dogs who have been to the vet are all Lyme Disease positive, amongst other issues as well," the post said.

Any residents who want to support Riverview Rescues can send donations to riverviewrescues@gmail.com.
