PREVIOUS POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: Kurt is the current vice-president of the Renfrew-NipissingPembroke NDP. Kurt ran for the nomination of the federal NDP for the 2019 federal election in RenfrewNipissing-Pembroke.

OCCUPATION: Kurt currently works as a research scientist.

TOP THREE ISSUES IN THIS ELECTION: Tackling the cost of living: We will regulate the price of gas through the energy board, build more affordable homes, im

plement real rent control for all units, and introduce universal dental care.

Bringing back good union jobs with pensions to the Ottawa Valley: Kurt will work with businesses and all levels of government to bring more good-paying union jobs to our area. He has committed to forming a 'Good Jobs for All' committee with representatives from all municipalities in our riding to work on this.

Fixing the health-care system: We will bring mental health care into OHIP, we will abolish for-profit long-term care, and reverse Doug Ford's cuts to health care.
