RENFREW OPP CHARGE 3 PEOPLE WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING

Renfrew OPP report that on Saturday, May 7, they charged three people with impaired driving.

The below charges have not been proven in court.

On May 7, at approximately 12 a.m., officers were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) on Burnstown Road and Calabogie Road in Burnstown. As a result of a vehicle stop, Joel Swain, 47, of Hartington Ontario, was charged with driving with a blood alcohol concentration over 80. The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Ren

frew court on June 1.

On May 7, around 4:10 p.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Daniel Street South in the Town of Arnprior. As a result of an investigation, Neil Whyte, 45, of Arnprior, was charged with impaired driving, driving with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, and operation while prohibited. The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Renfrew court on June 1.

On May 7, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) on Burnstown Road and Calabogie Road in Burnstown. As a result of a vehicle stop, Patrick Farrell, 40, of Horton Township, was charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol concentration over 80.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Renfrew court on June 15.

Renfrew Detachment officers investigated 295 calls for service during the past week.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Arnprior and Renfrew officers investigated eight domestic disputes the past week.

One accused has been charged with assault contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Renfrew court on June 15.
