SCUGOG SEEKS RESIDENTS' THOUGHTS ON NEW IT STRATEGIC PLAN

Scugog has launched an online survey to garner public input to ensure the township is addressing residents' needs as the municipality continues to roll out its technology enhancements.

The township has begun implementing its new information technology strategic plan and five-year road map which will consider how the use of technology can make Scugog more productive, enhance services and improve customer and staff experiences.

Some of the approved enhancements include more online services for applications, licences, payments and signing up for committees. In the near future, the township plans to launch a new automated phone system, self-service kiosks and hybrid council meetings so those interested can attend in-person, or virtually.

With its IT plan now being implemented, Scugog is looking for public feedback and will accept responses to its "myITfactor" survey until May 23. Participants will be entered in a draw for a chance to win a $50 gift card.

The township will also host a virtual information technology strategic plan implementation update on May 26 to provide more information about the strategy and projects underway. There will also be an opportunity to provide input and ideas.

The 6:30 p.m. session will be held virtually, on Microsoft Teams. The link will be sent to registered attendees; to RSVP, email clerks@scugog.ca.

Participants who attend the IT update will also be entered for a chance to win a $50 gift card.
