ENJOY STEM LEARNING FOR KIDS THIS SUMMER IN DURHAM

SPOTS NOW OPEN FOR ENGINEERING CAMPS IN PICKERING, WHITBY, BOWMANVILLE

Engineering for Kids will be offering weekly STEM engineering camps in three Durham communities this summer.

The camp will cover a variety of topics during seven weeks, with sessions open for both junior campers aged four to seven, and senior campers aged eight to 12.

"STEM is arguably the most important field in our society and if we can make kids' first experiences with it fun, then we're not only advancing these children's capabilities, but also society as a whole," explained Michelle McDonald, owner of Engineering for Kids of Durham.

Topics for junior sessions include: Junior Inventor's Workshop, Diggin' For Dinos, Engineering Electrical, Aerospace — Sky Riders, Thinking Green, Junior Mission to Mars and The Engineering of Travel. Senior campers can enjoy sessions including: RoboGames and Lego Prime, High Voltage Hijinks, Robotics Mission to Mars, Up Up and Away, Coding — Scratch Video Sensing, Master Mechanics and Minecraft Urban Innovators.

"I was born in the wrong generation," McDonald continued. "I had to go above and beyond to find anything that could get me into a hands-on engineering environment and I'm happy to say that we're able to solve that problem for the next generation. Kids are naturally intuitive and I love getting the opportunity to offer them an accessible outlet for that creativity."

Sessions are $349 per week and begin July 10. Camps will be held at Joey's World in Bowmanville, PartyCade in Pickering and Scholars Education in Whitby. For more information, or to register visit engineeringforkids.com.
