KEENE PUMPKIN FESTIVAL RETURNS ON OCT. 15

The Keene Pumpkin Festival is making its return to the community in October.

The one-day festival, scheduled for Oct. 15, will include a healthy itinerary of events, including a parade, straw bale maze and axe throwing.

"Bring the whole family to celebrate everything fall," reads a release issued by festival organizers.

The festival begins at 9 a.m. with a parade through

Keene. This is followed by the "great pumpkin weighoff" at noon.

Other events include the pumpkin pyramid, straw bale maze, axe throwing and Maple the Milking Cow.

The popular Antique Car Show is also returning,

as well as the Dog Show. In addition, there will be a vendors' market, critter visits, draws, live music, delicious foods and more.

"New this year — Indigenous art of quilling will be demonstrated at the historical society display," the organizers state.
