REMEMBER THIS LITTLE BOY IN YOUR PRAYERS EACH NIGHT, WRITES ARLENE SPENCER

Our hearts are broken. A pain so bad it ravishes the soul. A few weeks ago we received some debilitating news.

Our nephew and his wife's little nine month old baby boy was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma (a childhood cancer). They learned he has three tu

mors near his brain, one on his kidney and others on his adrenal glands.

This news has rocked their world. A perfect little boy two weeks ago now faces the fight of his life. By his side at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, his parents are praying for a miracle.

When a tragedy like this hits a family and a community, what do you do? You rally together to help the best way you know how. With months of chemotherapy, hospital visits and appointments ahead of them, people wanted to help. A Go Fund Me page was started and within hours it had raised over $50,000 and is still climbing.

In a world where evil is present, there is good. My nephew and his wife have a long emotional journey ahead of them but with the support of their family and friends they will find the strength to help their little son fight this horrible disease.

It doesn't seem fair and

while trying to keep our faith, we ask, how can a loving God allow awful things to happen to innocent children, why this little boy? There are no concrete answers. We have to have faith and know he has a plan for this pain.

My sister questioned why our loved ones who have passed before us allowed this to happen. I responded, "Because they are planning on giving us a miracle."

Right now we are sad, our emotions are raw and our struggles are real and we hurt. There is no salve or ointment that can take this pain away. If you can remember this little boy in your prayers each night, maybe those struggles won't be so hard to carry solo.
