MALE ALLEGEDLY STRUCK IN FACE WITH BUTT END OF KNIFE

A 14-year-old Peterborough youth is facing charges after a male was allegedly struck in the face with the butt end of a knife on Tuesday afternoon (May 10).
Peterborough police say at approximately 12:30 p.m. officers were called to the area of Parkhill Road
East and Auburn Street about a report of an alleged fight between two males.
Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim had allegedly been struck in the face with the butt end of a knife.
Police say a male, matching the description given to police, was located several blocks away.
As a result of the investigation, a 14-year-old male was arrested and charged with:
• Assault with a weapon
• Assault causing bodily harm
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on June 13, 2022.
Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the name of a young person cannot be released.
