ILLEGAL CANNABIS DISPENSARY IN OSHAWA RAIDED AGAIN

A third search warrant was executed at an illegal cannabis dispensary in Oshawa.

On the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 13, Durham Regional Police officers executed a search warrant at Oshaweed Dispensary, arresting the owner and two associates.

Another search warrant was executed at a home in Woodbridge, police said. In total, police seized more than $45,000 in cannabis and cannabis products, police noted.

Previous raids at the 155 King St. W. business were conducted on July 26 and Aug. 3.

Trung Nguyen, 35, of Woodbridge, was charged with three counts of possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling, and possession of proceeds of more than $5,000 obtained by crime. He was held for a bail hearing.

Steven Thompson, 40, of Oshawa, was charged with possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling, possession of proceeds of more than $5,000 obtained by crime, and failing to comply with an undertaking. He was held for a bail hearing.

Thomas Perez, 21, of Woodbridge, was charged with obstructing a peace officer and possession of proceeds of more than $5,000 obtained by crime. He was released on an Undertaking.
