MEET ONTARIO PARTY CANDIDATE VANESSA HEAD

Vanessa Head is the Ontario Party MPP candidate for Northumberland-peterborough South in the 2022 provincial election.

Head is hoping to secure residents' votes on June 2 when the riding chooses its next MPP - and Ontario its new premier.

To introduce residents to their local candidates, we asked Head and others to answer some quick questions.

HERE'S A QUICK RUNDOWN:

Head, 48, of Norwood, is the Ontario Party candidate for Northumberlandpeterborough South, and is currently a student.

PAST POLITICAL EXPERIENCE:

"This is my first election. As I have witnessed the absolute trampling of our rights, the attack on families, freedom, and faith, and the complete betrayal of our elected officials, I knew I needed to get involved.

"After much prayer and petition, I decided that the Ontario Party was building something I wanted to be a part of."

HOW WOULD YOU GRADE THE PROVINCE'S COVID-19 RESPONSE AND WHY?

"F - FAIL: The current government has operated in fear and deception, as well as medical coercion. This has cost Canadians more than just the billions of dollars in debt, but the incalculable cost in terms of mental health, suicides, needless deaths, economic loss, harm to our seniors, our youth, and every facet of our society has paid too high a price.

"The cure cannot be worse than the disease."

IF ELECTED, I WILL ..."

"I am a regular 'Jane' citizen, but if elected, I promise I will give my full commitment to working towards restoring truth, righteousness, and justice to our province. I will stand firm in the principles we have laid out in our party charter and in particular for freedom, faith and family.

"I will seek to understand

the real concerns of Ontarians and I will work diligently to represent their interests. I will submit myself to the role of servant of the public and rely on the grace of God to help me humbly represent my fellow citizens."
