'CINDERELLA' HEADED TO SEAWAY MALL FOR MEET AND GREET

PORT OPERATIC SOCIETY EVENT TO SHOWCASE UPCOMING PRODUCTION

Before Cinderella heads to the ball, she'll be at Seaway Mall.

But there's no mention of any glass slipper shopping being done.

Instead, Cinderella (Adrianna Polito) and the rest of the cast will be at the Welland mall on Saturday to draw attention to the Port Colborne Operatic Society's latest show with a meet-and-greet event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will also be an opportunity to win tickets to the show, which takes place next month at Welland Centennial Secondary School, the society's temporary home while repairs are made to Lakeshore Catholic High School's auditorium, which was damaged in a fire that took place at the school last summer.

The entire cast will be on hand to sing a selection of songs from the show.

The show is the society's first one to be held since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.

A preview performance

is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. with the production's official opening night happening Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m.

Performances continue Sunday, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 18, and Sunday, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m.; Friday, Feb. 24, at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 25, at 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 26, at 2 p.m.
