Here's another reason to shop for your home at Upper Canada Mall.

Structube, which sells furniture at competitive prices at 75 locations, has opened its doors at the mall.

It joins Ashley Homestore, Casper, Linen Chest,

QE Home and Stokes, which have opened at the mall in recent years.

"We are proud to be opening a new Structube location at Upper Canada Mall. This will allow us to better serve our customers in the Newmarket region by providing an exceptional selection of home furnishings, offered at incredibly low prices," marketing communiations manager, Melanie Hachey, said.

Mall general manager, Ryan Da Silva welcomed the new store's opening.

"We're located in the heart of a growing community. Our goal at Upper Canada Mall is to connect our shoppers with all their retail needs. Welcoming Structube to the region brings new, stylish and competitively priced furniture to our home and décor options creating a single destination for shoppers," he said.

"This is an important category of retailer and Structube is an excellent addition to our property."

Structube and the mall are looking to capitalize on the community's growth.

Provincial projections anticipate York Region to attract the highest share of growth in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. York Region currently has a population of 1.2 million which is expected to increase to two million residents by 2051.

The mall offers more than 200 stores, including Zara, luluemon, Apple, Aritzia, Sephora, MAC, Michael Kors, in one million square feet of retail space.

The mall also features Market & Co. -- a 40,000square-foot market con

cept with fresh, local and convenient food and dining offerings.

Last year, mall co-owner, Oxford Properties Retail Holdings Inc. presented a vision for the mall property at the northwest corner of Newmarket's busiest intersection at Yonge Street and Davis Drive.

Over 35 or more years, the company wants to

build 5,121 residential units, 9,700 square metres (104,400 square feet) of nonresidential space, a new road system and 1.8 hectares (4.5 acres) of parks including an "iconic park" at Yonge and Davis.
