A Mississauga grandfather is looking forward to a brand-new pickup truck after winning OLG'S Ontario 49.
"I started playing Ontario 49 about four months ago," said Moises Resendes, who is a grandfather living in Mississauga.
He said he plays every Sunday, and usually takes quick pick numbers.
"Started counting the zeroes and couldn't believe it," he said, after checking his ticket early one morning to find he had won $2 million.
He called his son-in-law to tell him about the win.
"I asked him to check it for me because I wanted to make sure it was legit," Resendes said. "He was very excited for me. We went down to the store and confirmed it."
He plans to pay some bills and share some of the winnings with his family.
"I will treat myself to a new truck," he said.
Resendes bought the winning ticket at the Rabba Fine Foods in Mississauga on Heatherleigh Avenue.
