POLICE CHARGE 36-YEAR-OLD MAN WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER AFTER SHOOTING AT MISSISSAUGA RESIDENCE

Peel police have made an arrest and charged a Mississauga man with attempted murder and two other offences following a shooting at a residence in Mississauga on Nov. 13.
In a release, police said the 11 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau has charged Christopher Spencer, 36, with one count each of attempted murder, aggravated assault and discharging a firearm with intent.
Police did not reveal the location of the incident to protect the identity of the victim, but said it occurred at a residence in Mississauga.
"On Saturday, November 13,2021, the victim attended a local hospital in serious but non-lifethreatening condition after being struck by a bullet. Investigators were
able to determine that the victim was shot at a residence in Mississauga," read the release on Nov. 21.
"On Thursday, November 18, 2021, investigators conducted a Criminal Code search warrant at the residence in Mississauga, where the suspect was located," added the release.
Spencer appeared in Brampton court for a bail
hearing on Nov. 19.
