Peel Regional Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted child abduction in Mississauga.
Police say on Nov. 15 between 2 and 3 p.m., a child was walking in the area of Delle Donne Drive and Camberwell Drive in the Churchill Meadows neighbourhood when a suspect "exited from his vehicle and made an attempt to force the child towards his car."
The 11-year-old was able to break free from the suspect and fled the area.
The suspect is described as a male standing 6-foot-2 in height with a medium build and weighing roughly 175 pounds.
He has short black hair and was seen wearing a bomber-style jacket and black toque. Police say the vehicle is a small, black four-door sedan.
Investigators are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with surveillance
footage within the boundaries of Eglinton Avenue, Ninth Line, Britannia Road and Winston Churchill Boulevard.
Anyone with information or possible footage can contact investigators from the 11 Division at 905-453-2121 ext. 1133.
