MEET KATHERINE CIRLINCIONE, NDP CANDIDATE

NAME: Katherine Cirlincione

RIDING: Milton

PARTY: Ontario New Democratic Party

AGE: 30

OCCUPATION: Training professional

RESIDENCE: Norval

Past political experience: I have been a volunteer in political campaigns and community activism since 2018. I have advocated before city council on issues important to families like housing, child care, and the cost of living. My family has inspired me and helped me find my voice.

HOW WOULD YOU GRADE THE PROVINCE'S COVID-19 RESPONSE, AND WHY?

After over 8,500 deaths, half a million COVID-19 infections, the near collapse of hospitals and the total failure of our long-term care system, the NDP is calling for a full inquiry into the Ford government's pandemic response. Ontarians deserve answers, accountability and action to ensure this never happens again. Doug Ford has failed Ontarians.

IF ELECTED, WHAT DO YOU PLEDGE TO DO?

I pledge to build a new foundation for our next generation; to revive our public health care and get every Ontarian mental health care, drug and dental care; and to make life more affordable for everyone, including hydro, auto insurance, child care and housing.

The people of Milton are facing levels of inflation not seen in decades. Housing is now out of reach for so many families, and young people cannot even plan to buy a house. Wages are not keeping up with the high costs of food and goods, and Ford's decision to freeze minimum wage for three years has cost people over $6,000 in wage loss.I am ready to fight for our families and seniors.
