FEEDBACK SOUGHT ON RIDE-HAILING SERVICES
The Town of Milton is seeking public input on ride-hailing and transportation network companies, such as Uber or Lyft, as part of its ongoing review of the current taxi licensing bylaw.
The use of ride-hailing services isn't currently regulated. The community consultation is intended to identify any concerns from residents, as well as their needs and priorities.
In the news release, the town said it is engaging with the community to help in the development of recommendations to create a balanced, competitive market for licensing vehicles, owners, and operations of taxi and transportation network companies in Milton.
Residents can have their say by taking a ride-hailing survey online until May 31.
The survey can be accessed on letstalkmilton.ca/rideshare.
