LIBERAL CANDIDATE AARON CAYDEN HILTZ

CANDIDATE: Aaron Cayden Hiltz

RIDING: Simcoe North

PARTY: Ontario Liberal Party

AGE: 30

OCCUPATION: Political science, law student

RESIDES IN: Orillia

PAST POLITICAL EXPERIENCE:

For the past six years, I've worked with various organizations to increase access to post-secondary education and the support systems necessary to succeed in college or university.

I have helped develop policy for major political parties and have lobbied government officials from all levels of government in Canada.

HOW WOULD YOU GRADE THE PROVINCE'S COVID-19 RESPONSE

AND WHY?

F — The pandemic in Ontario quickly turned into a communications disaster and a complete failure to address key issues surrounding the governing of small businesses, schools, hospitals, and long-term-care homes.

Small businesses were forced to close while mega corporations made record profits.

The Ford flip-flop of remote learning for students kept parents in the dark. Hospitals were overrun. Nurses were overworked and underpaid. Our seniors died in long-term-care homes, alone and without support.

IF ELECTED, I PLEDGE TO:

Bring change to Simcoe North and Ontario. We can rebuild our public services to combat Ford's aggressive cuts, raise the minimum wage to combat the skyrocketing cost of living, provide affordable housing for those affected by the housing crisis, and protect our environment from the disastrous effects of climate change.
