INNISFIL TO HOST RAMADAN COMMUNITY DINNER

The Town of Innisfil is marking the holy month of Ramadan with a community dinner March 20.

Celebrated by those of the Muslim faith, Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is designed for praying and fasting.

The dinner will take place from 6-8 p.m. at Innisfil Town Hall.

"The Town of Innisfil prides itself on being a welcoming community to all and, as we grow, we want to ensure we recognize the many diverse and vibrant cultures of the people that have chosen to live and work here," Mayor Lynn Dollin said in a media release.

"We encourage everyone to attend this event to learn more about Islamic culture and the importance of Ramadan."
