SPECIAL-NEEDS STUDENT LOSES TRANSPORTATION

Wyatt Drodge has been missing school. But his parents say it isn't his fault, rather the "grossly negligent" actions of the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB).
Eleven-year-old Wyatt is a student with special needs. For the past four years, he has been provided with a dedicated transit vehicle to suit his condition. However, the school board says a recent review of special education student transportation and walk zone compliance means that Wyatt and several other students across the county will no longer receive that specialized transportation.
The board says affected families were notified well in advance, but Wyatt's father, Brendan Drodge, claims that's not the case.
