It can be difficult to face substance addiction, and Innisfil author Nick Goodman is sharing his story of facing those demons with readers.

"'Walk in Beauty' is the inspirational true story about the first five years of my sobriety," Goodman said. "It is riveting, thought provoking and instructive. With an amalgamation

of education, story-telling, and world travel, readers go on a transformative journey through my sobriety, while simultaneously learning the necessary tools to create and maintain their own."

Goodman is an addiction counsellor, hospice worker and poet who hopes the book will change

and save lives. The pandemic lockdowns allowed him to get serious about writing and sharing his insight.

"'Walk in Beauty' is not simply the story of one man climbing out of dependence, but rather the story of one man who wants to give that gift to others," Goodman said.

His last book, "A Moment with Grace," was a story about love and loss, based on his own life experiences travelling in France, England and Greece.

"Walk in Beauty" is available on Amazon. For more information about Goodman and his books, visit nickgoodman.ca.
