FALL FOR CONCESSION GOES OCT. 1 AND 8

It's the kickoff to the fall/Christmas/holiday season in the Mountain's oldest commercial district.
Fall For Concession goes Oct. 1 and 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. along Concession Street featuring music, chalk artists, sidewalk sales and other happenings.
"I think it's really important to get people back on the street," said Concession Street Business Improvement Area (BIA) vice chair Jamie McHardy. "We're looking to build off the momentum of Sidewalk Sounds."
The BIA is sponsoring
the event.
Musicians ranging from country to alt pop to soul to Indigenous soul and roots rock will be performing under the pergola at 569 Concession.
Chalk artists will be working at Mountain Tire (593 Concession), the courtyard near Concession Pizza (576 Concession), the east wall of Dollarama (503 Concession) Flashbacks
(411 Concession), Concession library (565 Concession) and Crumbuns Bakeshop (566 Concession) and a mural artist will be teaching youngsters the finer point of chalk painting outside The Parlour at 581 Concession.

McHardy said Concession Street will be open to traffic during the event.
