OLYMPIC MEDAL SOFTBALL SQUAD COMING TO GUELPH

An Olympic medal celebration will be making a stop in Guelph.

Softball Canada announced the Women's National Team Celebration Tour on May 6, marking the squad's bronze medal win at the Olympics held last year in Tokyo.

As part of the tour, Canada will be facing off against the 10th-ranked Netherlands and 11thranked

Czech Republic teams in Ontario and Saskatchewan.

The first stop on the Ontario leg of the tour will be on June 16 at Guelph Exhibition Park, with the game beginning at 7 p.m.

Guelph's Kaleigh Rafter, who was the catcher for the medal-winning team, is now serving as the team's head coach.
