CURRENT RESIDENCE: Guelph

PAST POLITICAL EXPERIENCE:

Elected leader of Ontario Greens in 2009 and Guelph's MPP in 2018. I passed Ontario's first-ever Green law protecting EV drivers.

I introduced legislation to protect the Paris Galt Moraine and Guelph's water supply from the Dolime Quarry, and secured funding for the Grove Wellness Hubs and 195 LTC beds locally.

PROVINCE'S COVID-19 RESPONSE AND WHY?:

The Ford government's handling of the pandemic has made the situation worse. Delays, confusion and ignoring the advice of public health officials and scientists have cost lives. The humanitarian crisis that occurred in long-termcare homes, the mass COVID spread in workplaces and the disproportionate impact on hot spot communities could have been mitigated with earlier decisive action. It also took far too long for small businesses to get the support that they needed.

IF RE-ELECTED, I PLEDGE ..: to fight for what we all want in Ontario — caring, connected communities that are prepared to participate in the new climate economy.

I will do this by continuing to be an advocate for accessible mental health care, affordable housing for everyone and real climate action that leaves no one behind.
