HALDIMAND AND GLANBROOK SERVICE AGENCIES: NEIGHBOUR TO NEIGHBOUR

When difficult situations arise, it's hard to know where to turn to for help. In this series, Haldimand and Glanbrook's Service Agencies, The Sachem and Glanbrook Gazette shine a spotlight on the local organizations that are ready to give a hand up.

NAME: Neighbour to Neighbour (N2N)

WHAT THEY DO: This organization offers community kitchen programs, food and social justice programs for kids and youth, emergency food access, a low-cost produce market, gardening programs, newcomer support, assistance with utility support, etc.

NOTABLE EVENTS/ ACCOMPLISHMENTS: This organization has partnered with Community Food Centres Canada to establish and run the Hamilton Community Food Centre. It provides advice and leadership to the Hamilton Community Garden Network. Since 2014, N2N has been the Hamilton Mountain location host for the Coldest Night of the Year fundraising event, and also hosts an annual

Charity Golf Tournament. These two key events provide vital funding support for all of the programs. N2N has a large volunteer program working with hundreds of volunteers each year who help to provide frontline service delivery.
