GEORGINA FOLK BAND HITTING STEPHEN LEACOCK STAGE

MUSIC AND FRIENDS FROM BONAVISTA BAY TO COOKS BAY FEATURES JOHN PRINCE AND A PIECE OF ROCK, LIVERSPOTS

Spend a night immersed in the Celtic sounds of Maritime folk and bluegrass music.

The signature double-performance, Music and Friends from Bonavista Bay to Cooks Bay, features performances by The Liverspots and Georgina's own John Prince and a Piece of Rock.

The bluegrass concert hits the Stephen Leacock Theatre of Performing Arts, 130 Gwendolyn Blvd., Keswick, March 25. Doors open 7:15 p.m.

Originally from the Bonavista Bay area in Newfoundland,

Prince moved to Ontario and settled in Georgina in the late 1980s.

Together with Bruce McDaniel, Joe Sexton and Donny Wood, John Prince and a Piece of Rock plays traditional

maritime, folk and bluegrass music having toured throughout the province.

The band's strong vocal harmonies, Maritime melodies and old-time favourites

will be sure to have you tapping your toes in your seat.
