COUNCIL CONNECTION: SPRING BRINGS LOTS OF ACTIVITY TO KESWICK

DAN FELLINI Column Dan Fellini is the councillor for Ward 2 in Georgina.

Spring is finally here! It's great to see people out again.

There is so much development going on in Keswick. From the development on the north side of Dovedale Drive and Woodbine Avenue, to the Circle Ridge and Treasure Hill developments, so much is happening!

The Business Park development on the east side of Woodbine is also making great progress. From Riveredge Drive down to Ravenshoe Road, things are beginning to take shape. It will take time for the full build out of the Business Park to be completed, but talks have begun and, of course, market forces will dictate the speed of that development.

There are many events coming back this year. From Music in the Streets, to the Canada Day celebrations at the ROC, to the farmers market and more to come as the year moves on. Look for dates and times of these and other great events and festivals in our town. It will be awesome to see people enjoying themselves again in this great community of ours. We are very fortunate to be where we are.

I am also pleased to advise that the town has improved customer service by making more services available to our residents online. Obtaining parking passes and online payment methods are just some of the conveniences now available on the town's website: www.georgina.ca. You may still also go to the Civic Centre in person for services, if that is preferred. Please remember to be kind, respectful and helpful with each other.

In closing, I would like to remind everyone to please slow down as you drive through our community. With so much happening these days, it's important to put safety first and be mindful of others.
