COMMUNITY LIVING ENHANCES ONLINE PRESENCE WITH GRANT

Community Living North Halton (CLNH) has received a $102,600 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

The grant was used to hire a marketing and social media specialist to create an online presence for the organization. The project, completed in February 2022, has raised awareness of CLNH through social media platforms, engagement with local businesses and fundraising efforts using online forums for events and auctions.

CLNH was also able to develop and implement online programming for the 600 people it supports.

"The impact of this Ontario Trillium Foundation grant cannot be underestimated," said Greg Edmiston,

executive director for Community Living North Halton. "This grant has allowed us to stay connected with the people we support through virtual programming and

events throughout the pandemic, and has also given us the opportunity to engage the broader community through social media and a greater online presence."

The Ontario Trillium Foundation is a government of Ontario agency that distributed nearly $112 million into 1,384 community projects last year. The grant was made through the Ontario Trillium Foundation's resilient community fund, which supported the economic recovery by helping non-profit organizations rebuild and recover from the impacts of COVID-19.

"This investment by the Ontario Trillium Foundation will enhance the agency's ability to reach sponsors and community partners, which will help them to grow and continue to provide crucial supports to children and adults with developmental disabilities," said Parm Gill, MPP for Milton.
