PEDESTRIAN STRUCK BY VEHICLE IN PARKING LOT OF SOBEYS

A 90-year-old man was taken to the hospital after being hit by a driver in the parking lot of the Fort Erie Sobeys, according to Niagara Regional Police.
The incident, which was reported to police as a motor vehicle collision, occurred on Jan. 19 around 10 a.m. along Garrison Road.
The man hit by the vehicle remains in the hospital at this time with non-lifethreatening injuries, police
say.
A store manager at the Sobeys location confirmed the store is open despite the incident, and the parking lot has reopened following an investigation by police.
The driver involved in the collision remained on the scene. No charges have been laid at this time, but the circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
