POSITION YOU ARE RUNNING FOR: Hamilton public school board trustee, Ward 15

PREVIOUS POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: None

WHY HAVE YOU DECIDED TO RUN?: Parents are outraged at the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) plans to indoctrinate our children into "woke" ideology, including critical race and gender identity theories. Dividing our children into "oppressor" and "oppressed" groups is inherently divisive. I am running to provide transparency, and to put a stop to these illiberal and discriminatory practices.

WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 3 ISSUES?: Promote meritbased education. Every student deserves a learning environment where they can reach their potential. Inform parents. The curriculum should reflect the values of our community and a free society. Protect free speech. We need to listen to various opinions on difficult issues. That's how we find common ground.

IF ELECTED, HOW DO YOU PLAN TO ACHIEVE YOUR PRIORITIES?: We need to create an environment where the concerns of parents and educators are listened to. That is not happening right now. An ideological "woke" agenda is being pushed, wherein suppression or cancellation silences dissenting views. We need to break the silence and talk about difficult issues.
