WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE REVIEW'S MUNICIPAL ELECTION COVERAGE
As part of its comprehensive coverage of the municipal election, the Review reached out to all certified candidates running for council and trustee positions and invited them to participate in our coverage, which includes candidate profiles and Qand-As on topics of importance.
Weekly leading up to the Oct. 24 vote, the Review will feature candidate responses, starting with those running in Ward 15.
Five candidates — Zobia Jawed, Robert Kunysz, Ted McMeekin, Chris Pera and Sumaira Waqar, are running for the Ward 15 councillor seat, while three candidates — Syed Banoori, Catherine Kronas and Graeme Noble — are running for public school trustee.
The Review profiles each of the candidates on pages 43-45. Banoori and Kunysz did not respond to the Review's requests.
Ward 15's Catholic school board trustee, Mark Valvasori, has been acclaimed. He will represent Catholic ratepayers in Wards 1-2 and 15 at the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board.
