FLAMBOROUGH CONNECTS WELCOMING BACK ACTIVITIES

Bulbs are blooming and spring is in the air, welcoming a renewal of activities we haven't seen for more than two years.

The Ontario Senior Games' 55+ Summer Games 2022 for District 22 Hamilton/Wentworth are back! May 19 is the last day to register for upcoming events, including darts, pickleball, prediction walking, running and Nordic walking, five-pin bowling, cycling, golf, tennis and badminton.

Local activities include darts at the Waterdown Legion on May 26 and five-pin bowling at Waterdown Lanes on June 7. For registration details and schedules, contact the Flamborough Seniors Centre at 905546-2424, ext. 6315 or email district22hamiltonwentworth@gmail.com.

The Westover Artists are holding an Art Show and Sale on Saturday, May 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Flamborough Seniors Centre. This is a fundraising

event for the centre and features the work of talented local artists.

The sale includes paintings in all media — oils, acrylic, pastels, water colours etc.

Subject matter includes landscapes, animals, flowers and a range of other specialties. This is a great opportunity to find that perfect piece for your home, or a loved one's special day.

Flamborough Senior Volunteer Award nominations have been extended to June 2. If you know a local older adult volunteer who has made a significant contribution to the life of this community, visit flamboroughconnects.ca/flamborough-volunteers for a nomination form.

The Flamborough Senior Volunteer Award will be presented on June 16 at the annual Flamborough Volunteer Appreciation event.
