BAND CONCERT

CULTURAL CABARET

Cultural cabaret: A fun, free multicultural event with music, dance, artisans to celebrate diversity in Etobicoke Saturday, June 10, 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Humber College - G Building Centre for Entrepreneurship, 13155 Lake Shore Blvd. W. Live music and dance performances throughout the day, artisan show and sale, info about the arts in Etobicoke. JR. A LACROSSE

The Mimico Mountaineers Jr. A lacrosse squad, 3-3 on the young season (not including last night's game in Oakville), are back at home this Saturday, June 10, 7 p.m., at Mimico Arena, hosting crosstown rival Toronto Beaches. The league boasts the top juniors in the province.

JOY AND MUSIC

Enjoy a night of joy and music on Sunday, June 11, beginning at 7 p.m. at Humber Valley United Church. Come and sing along with the Valley Voices choir, led by Kate Brown, composed of over 60 vocalists and a full band, as well as guest artist Broadway star Cary Shields, performing favourite songs about love from every decade. There will be a silent auction and sparkling reception to follow. The doors will open at 6:15 p.m. so you can come in and begin to look and bid on the silent auction items at that time. All profits raised go to charity in support of Humber Valley United Church's refugee family. Tickets, at $35 per person, are available from the church or by calling the ticket line 416-2312263 x39. SENIORS FUNDRAISER

Yard Sale and BBQ Fundraiser for Seniors Care Sunday, June 11, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 60 Richview Rd - Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre. TOY SOLDIERS

On Parade 2023: Canada's Largest Model Soldier Show at Branch 643 Royal Canadian Legion, 110 Jutland Rd., Etobicoke/ Early Bird Admission at 9 a.m. is $10 and general admission at 10 a.m. is $5. CIRQUE DU SOLEIL

At Neilson Park Creative Centre, 56 Neilson Dr., in all galleries, May 30 to June 17, is a theme on the medium of pastels, with works from artists across Canada, and internationally.

AT MONTGOMERY'S INN:

Creative Empowerment at Montgomery's Inn, 4709 Dundas St. W. in Etobicoke, through to Aug. 3, showcases the stories and artistic creations of Newcomer and Immigrant women.

AT CIVIC CENTRE:

OME (Object/Material/Experience) is on tap at Etobicoke Civic Centre Art Gallery, 399 The West Mall June 6 to July 6 with reception June 15, 6 to 8 p.m. The suffix "-ome" refers to the entirety of a subject studied. This exhibition presents works by Object(ive) Collect(ive), arts-based researchers that contribute knowledge through objects, materials and experiences.

LOCAL MRKT

Local MRKT has returned to Mimico Square the second Saturday of the month. This year's market, in partnership with Mimico-by-the-Lake Business Improvement Area, runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mimico Square at 2445 Lake Shore Blvd. W. at the foot of Mimico Avenue. Upcoming dates are June 10, July 8, Aug. 12 and Sept. 9.
