NEILSON PARK CREATIVE CENTRE

Please join Neilson Park Creative Centre as we celebrate Pride month on June 16, 5:00 to 9:00 pm! Drop by and take part in the festivities by contributing to our community mural, building a Pride Garden, playing Queer Trivia (with prizes!) and watching or taking part in our Gallery Gala fashion show. We’ll have artist talks by Mark Gleberzon and Jonah Strub, tie-dying, face painting, bracelet-making and more!

Join us for a day of arts in the park on July 15, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Neilson Park Creative Festival! We’ll have art and fine craft vendors selling their handmade items. Live music performances are scheduled all day with the Kidz Rock and adult bands from The Music Studio and headliners Imposter SINdrome at 2:00 pm. A Plein-Air Painting competition will be featured throughout the day culminating with an exhibition and awards ceremony at 3:45pm. While you’re at the Festival, be sure to come inside the Centre for refreshments and check out our 30th Anniversary IMPACT juried exhibition in the Art Space Connect Gallery. There will be arts activities for kids, too!

ETOBICOKE CIVIC CENTRE ART GALLERY

This summer, step into the Etobicoke Civic Centre Art Gallery and see new art exhibitions that will inspire you. From June 6 to July 6, Object(ive) Collect(ive) presents their group art exhibition, OME: Object/Material/ Experience. In this show, artists demonstrate how visual arts reveal that the -ome of things, the entirety of a thing, is never fully realised but ever expanding in relations of objects, materials, and experiences. From July 11 to August 17 the Southern Ontario Visual Artists presents As the Artists View It. This exhibition showcases the group’s latest works including landscapes, wildlife paintings and abstract in oil, acrylic, scratchboard and more. For more information visit our website.
