ARTS ETOBICOKE’S 50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION!

Mark your calendars and get ready to celebrate, because June 17 is going to be a fun, art-filled day! We are thrilled to announce that we are commemorating our 50th anniversary by celebrating our community. Taking place right in our parking lot at 4893A Dundas Street, we welcome everyone to join in the festivities.

For the last 50 years, Arts Etobicoke has been committed to fostering a sense of community and bringing people together. Over the years, we have witnessed incredible growth, nurtured our creative community, and supported the artistic endeavors of Etobicoke. Now, it’s time to commemorate this remarkable journey with a celebration that embraces the spirit of togetherness.

The anniversary celebration will kick off at 12 pm and continue throughout the day until 4 pm, promising non-stop entertainment for attendees of all ages. Prepare to be captivated by an impressive lineup of musical performances featuring Indigenous performer, Jared Big Canoe, The Big Smoke Brass Band, AfroCaribbean drumming and dance by Coco Collective, and Latin jazz with the Luis Anselmi Quartet. This incredible lineup of artists is high energy and will leave you tapping your feet to their dynamic beats.

In addition to the fantastic musical acts, take part in a variety of exciting art activities from mural making to crafts. Feeling peckish? Don’t worry because we’ve partnered with the best local food trucks to serve up a delectable variety of culinary delights including arepas, jerk chicken and refreshing popsicles.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our community, whose support has helped us reach this incredible milestone. This event is our way of saying thank you and giving back to the people who have made our journey so extraordinary. Without your passion, dedication, and enthusiasm, none of this would have been possible.

The event is generously sponsored by local businesses including our sponsors Lactalis Canada, Artsvest, Rockport Group, Dr. Komal Jain Dentistry and Dr. Maria Ana Marcelo Dental Office. We also want to acknowledge the ongoing support by the City of Toronto and the Ontario Arts Council.
