Hibiscus Punch

INGREDIENTS: 2 cups sugar or to taste 6 cups water 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers 4 cinnamon sticks 6 star anise 1 cup lime juice 1 tbsp grenadine 700 ml non-alcoholic dark cane spirit or rum of choice, to taste Garnishes of your choice DIRECTIONS: 1. Bring sugar, water, hibiscus flowers, cinnamon sticks and star anise to a boil until sugar is dissolved and it’s reduced to 4 ruby-coloured cups. 2. Strain and cool (discard flowers). 3. Add lime juice, grenadine and dark cane spirit. Pour into a small punch bowl on ice. Serve with a ladle. Serve in a fancy glass with garnishes of your choice, such as dehydrated citrus slices, fresh or frozen currants or berries, or cinnamon sticks. 4. 5.
