PAST POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: In 2018, I ran in the municipal election for councillor of Ward 8 in the City of Cambridge. Ward 8 is the area I live in. Throughout my years of teaching, I made sure to participate in rallies and events to ensure our education system stayed in the public hands.

HOW WOULD YOU GRADE THE PROVINCE'S COVID-19 RESPONSE AND WHY?: F

The provincial government seriously neglected our hospitals and public schools. They limited the pay of nurses with Bill 124. They neglected public schools by not improving ventilation and provided improper masks and tests for school staff. By ignoring the advice of epidemic experts, they primarily used lockdowns to control the spread of the virus, but offered no supports to those affected. While large businesses thrived, small local businesses bore the full brunt.

If elected, I pledge to be involved in the community with compassion and joy. Just as I cared for students in my classroom, I will care for the needs of the community. I will listen to the experts and scientists on challenging issues and champion all the great ventures here.
