MOYA DILLON mdillon@durhamregion.com

The Township of Brock will be collecting donations across the township this month as part of its Brock Beats Hunger campaign.

Donation bins will be set up throughout the township at Brock Libraries, the Brock Municipal Administration Building, Sunderland Fire Station, all three arenas and at the Beaverton

and Sunderland fairs.

Residents are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items, ready-toeat snacks and personalcare items.

All donations collected in Beaverton and Sunderland will go to the Brock Community Food Bank, while Cannington donations will go to The Nourish and Develop Foundation. Monetary donations are also encouraged and can be made online at www.brockcommunityfoodbank.ca or www.tndf.ca.

Donations will be collected until Sept. 29. The initiative is part of a larger regional challenge to mark National Hunger Action Month. The township has set a goal of $1,000 in combined monetary and food donations.
