NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR PEEL CHILDREN'S SAFETY AWARDS

WINNERS WILL RECEIVE A TROPHY AND A CERTIFICATE

Nominations are currently open for the 29th Annual Elmer Safety Recognition Awards.

Presented by Peel Children's Safety Village, in partnership with Peel Regional Police, the awards are given to children who showed heroic behaviour or performed extraordinary acts of citizenship over the past year.

All winners will receive a trophy and a certificate from Peel Regional Police. Children who are in junior kindergarten through Grade 8 are eligible if they reside in Brampton, Mississauga, or Caledon. The deadline for nominations is Friday, April 21.

As many as ten children will receive an award during the ceremony, which is being held at the Peel Children's Safety Village on Wednesday June 7.
